Conditions for members
Active membership of Hellerup Fencing Club entitles you to fencing instruction and participation in regular training. Active members can also represent Hellerup fencing Club in competitions, receive financial assistance for trips and vote at the annual general meetings.As a member of Hellerup fencing Club you can expect the following:
- To learn to fence
- To be a member of a community
- To be surrounded by responsible leaders
- To have the use of equipment which is in proper condition
- To be met with demands that meet your needs and potential
- To participate in competitions
- To receive information about fencing via the clubs website
- That you will always exemplify fair play in sporting events
- That you are punctual
- That you respond to what the coaches and leaders say to you
- That you treat the club’s equipment in a responsible manner
- That you and/or your parents are active participants in solving tasks that a club life demands.
It is assumed that guest members are active members of another Danish fencing club. Guests have access to regular training along with lessons, when possible. Passive members is a supporting membership, that allows you to fence in the fencing hall, as long as there is sufficient place and that the member has received fencing instruction for a minimum of 2 years.
Annual Payment
Annual payment for all types of membership is 235 kr. per quarter of a year, or the first time that you are charged for the payment.
Training Payment
Training payment is calculated per month and you are charged a quarter in advance (except passive members). After joining the club, a bank giro will be sent to you.
Active: 235 kr per month
Guests: 135 kr per month
Passive: 235 kr per annum
Fencing is at your own risk.
The equipment is on loan in the club during the first quarter or according to agreement. Hereafter, it is expected that you gradually acquire your own equipment. Club weapons which are broken or damaged are the responsibility of the student and need to be paid for along with the monthly membership via bank giro. Termination or changes of membership has to be done in writing via email to
medlem@hellerupfaegteklub.dk or by mail to the club secretary.
In order for a termination to be validated, it is required that it is in writing to the club with at least 14 days notice and that the member has paid his/her fee to the club up to the day of termination. The member has the right to a written confirmation of his/her termination of membership.
